Welcome to Chesterfield County Public Affairs

The department of Public Affairs is an extension of the Office of the County Administrator and functions across all organizational lines. Its mission is to provide a reliable, strategic communications link between county government and the residents of Chesterfield County and to provide information to the media, other external groups and county departments. Assistance is provided to the Board of Supervisors, the county administrator, county departments and other officials through press releases, public and media relations and special event coordination. The department plays a key role in enhancing the county's professional image as a "First Choice" community by communicating Chesterfield's many attributes.
